PhD FOREIGN SCHOLARSHIPS
· Applications under HEC Funded Project are invited from the candidates possessing First Class Master’s degree in Education, Economics, Gender Studies, Geography, History, International Relations, Political Science, Pak Studies, Psychology and Women Studies for the grant of scholarships for pursuing PhD degree in Education from UK/USA and other developed countries’ universities.
· The University will facilitate the admission process of the selected candidates. After the completion of PhD, they would be required to teach at University of Education for a period of at least five years.
· Eligibility Criteria: 1.Candidates must have minimum sixteen years of education. Preference will be given to the candidates having two degrees, one of which must be Education. 2.Candidate must have passed GAT test. 3.Teachers presently working full time / contract in UE can also apply. 4.Maximum two second divisions throughout the academic career. 5.No third division (less than 50% marks) or D Grade in academic career. 6.Maximum age on the closing date of submission of application. a. 40 years for full time regular faculty members of public sector universities/colleges and employees of the public sector R & D organizations. b. 35 years for all others.
· Application Procedure: 1.Download Application Form 2.The prescribed application form should be accompanied by attested photocopies of all educational testimonials, NIC, result card of GAT, two recent passport size photographs and NOC in original from the employer (only for government employees). 3.An original Bank Draft/Payment Order of Rs. 300/- in favour of Treasurer, University of Education, Lahore be enclosed. 4.Last date for the submission of the applications is 02-01-2010.
