Dr. Umair Ashraf earned his doctorate degree from South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou China. During his doctorate degree, he won many international awards among which a)  Excellent Ph D Dissertation Award, b) Outstanding International Student Award, c) Award of Excellence in Research, and d) Excellent International Student Award are the most prominent ones. His research and academic qualification clearly indicates his dedications to work within a stimulating and challenging environment. His research areas are Plant Stress Physiology Crop management strategies under stressful environments, Climate change impacts on crops,
Sustainable crop production, Plant/crop nutrition and management. He is the member of editorial board and reviewer of various SCI journals.
